iPhone of 2007 and iPhone 3.0

Iphone SOHO Store InvasionOn June 28th, 2007 my mom and I got up early in the morning, packed our laptops, water, beach chairs, and met up at the Apple SOHO store in the city. We arrived to find the line already formed for people just like us waiting for the release of the iPhone the following morning. Both of us have never done anything like this before and given that I just convinced my mom to by some shares in Apple, romanticized to her in following technology news, I did not need to twist her arm to come along with me and share in the experience.

Locked-out on a Sunday Afternoon

Salem ParkThis is going to be a lame entry. I managed to lock myself out of my fiancée’s apartment this past Sunday. I got up a little before 12, smashed from the night before, I proceeded to the grocery store around the corner. Figured I’d grab both of us some breakfast and get myself a nice ice-cold coffee. One thing though, I forgot to grab the keys – even with my half asleep fiancee reminding me to grab them as I was leaving the apartment. It hit me right as I was walking back from the store. I went back into the building, took the elevator up to the 15th floor and knocked profusely at the door. No cell phone, no laptop, no keys to my own apartment either. I knocked for about 20 minutes and gave up knowing that there’s no way she’d hear it being as her room was upstairs with the door far away.

Williamsburg Brooklyn I Miss You

Williamsburg BrooklynBefore moving to Hoboken about a year go, I lived in an industrial park section of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Even though my living conditions have vastly improved (I’m in a browstone now), I still miss my top floor corner-unit 2000 square foot loft. I’ve lived there for about 3 years, went through over a dozen roommates and decided to move on across the Hudson in order to have a more convenient commute to work.
