Strathmere Beach

Over the summer I’ve managed to get some really great shots of the beach on Strathmere island in Southern New Jersey. Because of an approaching storm, the beach was closed off with yellow police tape. I couldn’t resist climbing over the tape and over a dirt mound that protected the incoming tide from residential properties located just a few feet away. Having just purchased a Sigma 10-20mm Wide Angle lens for my Canon XSI, I went on shooting frenzy along with my broken-down tripod for several hours trying to get as many shots as possible before the twilight hour ended.
