Natalie and Simon dot com

Natalie and SimonBegan working on some comps late last night on our wedding site NatalieandSimon.com. I’m still not 100% clear on what direction I’ll take; I definitely want to challenge myself and not fall victim to just making a typical wedding site. At the same time, I don’t want to give in and just use flash. I prefer to utilize flash for accents on my web projects rather then building a 100% flash interfaces. To me flash sites become obsolete a lot quicker.

Over the past few years, I’ve been working a lot with JQuery framework and I might just end up creating a fully Ajax’d site utilizing drag-able, resizable, collapsable and minimize-able containers. These ‘containers’ will simply store various data aka blog, photo albums, maps, downloadable content, etc. They’ll load in random locations on the screen and visitors will interact with them they same way they interact with their operating system. Just thinking out-loud here. That’s just the plan for now. If the creative is anywhere near close to the concept and if I manage to pull this off, its going to be sick. IE 6 support… meh.. if you’re using IE6 you should be utilizing your computer for spreadsheet purposes.
